Since October 7, it has become difficult to have civil conversations about Israel/Palestine. It can feel lonely being reluctant yet compelled to share our complicated feelings. In this interactive gathering we will open a safe space for dialogue, based on the Work That Reconnects spiral for reflection: Grounding in Gratitude, Honoring our Pain for the World, Seeing with New and Ancient Eyes, and Going Forth. Song, storytelling, dialogue & group activities will be employed as we practice deep listening. Jodi will facilitate with musical support from Joanie and additional support from Debra. A light supper will be provided. Please join us with an open heart and open mind.
More information, donation details, and the registration link can be found on our blog.
I’d be interested in being involved in this sort of dialogue about Palestine and Israel for peace, since I’m also looking to get involved in Sukkat Shalom, again and the Columbus community, October 9, being another good reason.
